Vision Housing is a charity that provides accommodation and support via the private rented sector for ex-offenders and disadvantage groups to prevent the risk of re-offending and successful reintegration within communities.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Resettlement Worker with good knowledge and experience of working with ex-offenders, disadvantage groups such as the street homeless, mental health, substance misuses, domestic violence, housing legislation, welfare benefits and managing a team.
To undertake comprehensive needs and risk assessments, developing outcomes focused support plans.
To find service users good quality accommodation and support their reintegration back into the community.
Enable long term tenancy sustainment and encourage service users to take responsibility for forward planning through positive engagement with partnering organisations in budgeting, literacy/numeracy, employability, life skills and social/leisure activities and specialist support services.
Meeting the organisations quality framework standards in service delivery.
This will be achieved primarily by undertaking supervisory activities of Resettlement Workers and Volunteers, managing caseloads, report writing, support planning, ensuring team and individual objectives are met. Satisfying the customer’s targets and requirements.
Developing, maintain and co-ordinating effective working relationships representing the organisations at conferences, seminars and meetings.
The post holder is required to deal confidently and positively with a wide range of tasks and resolve issues appropriately, be an effective team player with the ability to undertake additional duties and responsibility to meet the changing needs of the organisation.
Good basic level of education
